Easy Quick Yummy Sheermal

Sheermal is a mildly sweet,-flavoured flatbread prepared with plain flour with ghee or cream. It suits well with korma, kofta, nihari and other gravy foods. The dough of sheermal is prepared with a mixture of wheat flour and all-purpose flour. Yeast is added to the flour and it is allowed to rest for a while before making and kneading more. You may use clarified butter or unsalted butter in the recipe, it depends upon your own choice. It can be cooked over Tawa or also can be baked in the oven. Initially, it was prepared like a roti however now it is cooked like a naan. Sheermal is more like occasional food than regular everyday food. You would mostly find it at events, festivals, wedding parties etc. Sheermal recipe is very popular in Pakistan, Iran, India and Bangladesh.
