Allah Created You From Nothing… Can He Not Raise You Again?


 

Surah Maryam (19:63–67)

English Translation (Verse by Verse)

Verse 63
That is the Paradise which We will give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who are mindful of Allah.

Verse 64
(The angels say:) “We do not descend except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs whatever is before us, whatever is behind us, and whatever is between them. And your Lord is never forgetful.”

Verse 65
He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them. So worship Him and remain steadfast in His worship. Do you know of anyone equal or comparable to Him?

Verse 66
Yet man says, “When I have died, will I really be brought forth alive again?”

Verse 67
Does man not remember that We created him before, when he was nothing?

Introduction

These verses of Surah Maryam remind believers of the reward awaiting the righteous, affirm Allah's absolute authority over the universe, call humanity to sincere worship, and answer those who doubt the Resurrection. Allah reminds mankind that the One who created them from nothing is fully capable of bringing them back to life after death.

Explanation

Verse 63

Allah promises Paradise as an everlasting inheritance for those who fear Him, obey His commands, and live righteous lives.

Verse 64

The angels explain that they descend only by Allah's command. Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him, and Allah never forgets His servants or His promises.

Verse 65

Allah alone is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and everything between them. Since He has no equal or partner, He alone deserves worship. Believers are commanded to remain patient and steadfast in His worship.

Verse 66

Some people mock the idea of resurrection, wondering how they could be brought back to life after death.

Verse 67

Allah answers their doubt by reminding them that He created them from nothing in the first place. If He created them once, resurrecting them is even easier for Him.

Description

These verses strengthen faith in Allah's oneness, His perfect knowledge, and the certainty of the Hereafter. They encourage believers to remain steadfast in worship while reminding those who deny resurrection that the Creator who brought them into existence from nothing can certainly raise them again.

Summary

Surah Maryam 63–67 teaches that Paradise is reserved for the righteous, Allah alone deserves worship, angels act only by His command, and resurrection is an undeniable reality because Allah created mankind from nothing.
