This lentil-based halwa is delicious and packed with incredible texture and flavour. Perfect for celebrations or when you're craving something sweet and satisfying! So, grab your ingredients, and let’s create this irresistible treat together! ingredients: 400 gm chana dal (split Bengal gram) 1/2 cup Asli ghee (clarified butter) 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste) 2 cups milk 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) 1/2 tsp cardamom powder Silver Leaf 1 instructions: Soak and Cook the Dal: Wash and soak the chana dal for 3-4 hours. Drain and pressure cook it with 1/4 cup water until soft (2-3 whistles). Blend the Dal: Once cooled, grind the cooked dal into a coarse paste. Roast the Dal: Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add the dal paste and sauté on medium heat until it turns golden brown and fragrant (10-12 minutes). Add Milk and Sugar: Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Add sugar and mix well. Cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan. Add Flavor and Nuts: Stir in the cardamom powder for a rich aroma. Garnish with chopped nuts and mix.
