Surah At-Takāthur (102)

English Translation

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

The race for piling up worldly things has distracted you,

until you reach the graves.

No! You will soon come to know.

Again, no! You will soon come to know.

If only you knew with certainty,

you would surely see the Hellfire.

Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

Then, on that Day, you will surely be questioned about every blessing.

Explanation

Surah At-Takāthur warns humanity about obsession with wealth, status, and numbers—competing in money, followers, property, and power.
This race makes people forget death and the Hereafter.

Allah reminds us that:

Death ends all competition

The reality of Hell will be seen clearly
