He is the Ever-Living — Worship Only Allah | Surah Ghafir 62-66

Introduction

These verses from Surah Ghafir (40:62–66) highlight the Oneness of Allah, His power as the Creator, and the purpose of worship. Allah reminds us that He alone created everything, shaped mankind in the best form, and provided pure sustenance. He is the Ever-Living, and no one deserves worship except Him. The Prophet (ﷺ) is commanded to declare that worship is only for the Lord of all worlds, based on clear guidance.

Surah Ghafir 62–66 teaches that Allah is the only true God, the Creator of the universe and the Sustainer of every living being. He made the earth a stable place to live, raised the sky like a protective canopy, and formed humanity beautifully. Since Allah alone is Ever-Living, worship must be sincerely devoted to Him. The Prophet (ﷺ) announces that he is forbidden from worshiping anything besides Allah, and he submits fully to the Lord of all worlds
