The Torn Shirt That Revealed the Truth – Surah Yusuf Explained


πŸŒ™ πŸ“– Surah Yusuf (26–30) – Translation (English) Verse 26: Yusuf said, “It was she who sought to seduce me.” And a witness from her family testified: “If his shirt is torn from the front, then she is telling the truth, and he is a liar.” Verse 27: “But if his shirt is torn from the back, then she is lying, and he is speaking the truth.” Verse 28: So when her husband saw that Yusuf’s shirt was torn from the back, he said, “Indeed, this is one of your women’s plots. Truly, your schemes are great.” Verse 29: “O Yusuf, ignore this! And you, woman, ask forgiveness for your sin. Indeed, you were of the wrongdoers.” Verse 30: And the women in the city said, “The wife of the governor is trying to seduce her young servant. He has captured her heart with love. Indeed, we see her clearly in error.”
