No One Will Save You on That Day _ Can You Imagine?

 

Surah Al-Ma'arij (1–18) – English Translation

Verse 1

A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen.

Verse 2

For the disbelievers—none can prevent it.

Verse 3

From Allah, Lord of the ways of ascent.

Verse 4

The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a Day whose measure is fifty thousand years.

Verse 5

So be patient with beautiful patience.

Verse 6

Indeed, they see it as distant,

Verse 7

But We see it as near.

Verse 8

The Day the sky will be like molten metal,

Verse 9

And the mountains will be like wool,

Verse 10

And no close friend will ask about a close friend,

Verse 11

Though they will be shown each other. The criminal will wish to ransom himself with his children,

Verse 12

And his wife and his brother,

Verse 13

And his family who sheltered him,

Verse 14

And everyone on earth entirely—so that it could save him.

No! Indeed, it is the blazing Fire,

Verse 16

Stripping away the skin,

Verse 17

Calling those who turned away,

Verse 18

And those who hoarded wealth.
