Allah says in the Quran:
“When you sought help from your Lord, He answered you: ‘I will reinforce you with a thousand angels, following one another.’”

“Indeed, Allah gave you victory at Badr when you were weak.”

Brief Account of the Event
The Battle of Badr took place on the 17th of Ramadan, 2 AH (624 CE). The Muslims were only around 313 in number, while the Quraysh army was nearly 1,000 strong. The Muslims had limited weapons and resources, but they placed complete trust in Allah.
Prophet Muhammad spent the night praying sincerely to Allah for help. Allah then sent angels to strengthen and support the believers by His command.
According to Sahih al-Bukhari, narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA), a Muslim was chasing a polytheist during the battle when he suddenly heard the sound of a whip from the sky and a voice saying:
“Advance, Haizum!”
Then the enemy fighter fell to the ground defeated.
