Kiwi – 1 250 gm
gelatin powder 1 tbs soaked in tap water
Water – 250 ML
Lime juice – 2 Tbs (from 1 large limes)
Sugar – 250 gm cups
Rock Salt – 1/4 tsp
Citric Acid – 1 Tbsp (dissolved in 2 Tbsp water)
Green food color – 6-8 drops (optional)
Method
Combine the cut kiwi, and lime in a saucepan. Add 250 ml of water and bring to a boil. Cook until the fruits are fork tender. Then turn off the heat and cool slightly.
Process the cooked fruits in a blender
Combine the sugar and 1 cup water in saucepan and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved and comes to a boil. At this point add in the salt, citric acid , gelatin , rock salt food color lemon juice and the filtered juice. Cook only for 1 minute and turn off the stove.
Meanwhile get the storage bottles ready. Sterilize them in boiling water for 10 minutes. Dry the bottles thoroughly and keep them ready. Wash the lids in hot but not boiling water.
